My interest concerning the series of wooden installations is to install a standardized symbol into the nature landscape.

I have employed this "Infinity" sign as a counter idea for "consumerism". This work has been presented in a nature art festival, thus the theme was "Nature X Human society.

I wanted to warn that human and nature is not equal. Human cannot survive without nature. Now human technology / egoism became powerful enough to consume primitive nature.

If you unilaterally consume, it will be gone, be "zero". However if you live together, if you recognize you are also a part of huge nature-cycle, perhaps it will encourage you to consider more imaginative social construction.

The ancient sign of "infinity" is a symbol that a giant serpent is swallowing own tail eternally. From both sides of positive and negative, my intention was to cast this image to the increasing consumerism human society.
